From Adelaide you fly to Kingscote on Kangaroo Island and on arrival collect your car. Kangaroo Island is the largest island off the South Australian coast and shows nature at its wildest and most majestic in a magical combination of sun and sea, native flora and fauna. The coastline of the island changes from the attractive curved beach at Emu Bay to the rugged cliffs and roaring surf of the south. On the west are two of the island’s natural wonders - Admirals Arch and the Remarkable Rocks.

There is a never ending list of things to do and see on Kangaroo Island and today you have time to explore the natural beauty of this island and discover Australian wildlife – in the wild! Highlights include Flinders Chase National Park, Kelly Hill Caves, the “Koala Walk” and seeing lots of seals at the aptly named.Seal Bay. There are lots of great beaches where you can relax in between sightseeing.

More time today to explore the island before dropping your vehicle off at Kingscote Airport for the return flight to Adelaide where the rest of the day is free for you to explore and see the sights. Adelaide is South Australia’s cosmopolitan coastal capital. Its ring of parkland on the River Torrens is home to renowned museums such as the Art Gallery of South Australia, displaying expansive collections including noted Indigenous art, and the South Australian Museum, devoted to natural history.

Day 4
Adelaide to Mount Gambier
Today you say farewell to Adelaide when you collect your car and take the Freeway directly to Murray Bridge and then onto Tailem Bend. Travel along the Coorong National Park skirting Lake Albert and Lake Alexandria. Travel on through Kingston and Robe and on to Mount Gambier, where you can visit the surrounding crater lakes and the Sunken Garden. A long drive today but great scenery all along the route.
