Set in Jervis Bay, two hours’ drive south of Sydney, within easy reach of the region’s white-sand beaches, Paperbark Camp offers elegant tented accommodation inspired by luxurious African safaris. Here you can enjoy fine food and wine in a peaceful bush setting – it’s a wonderful place to get back to nature without sacrificing comfort

You can treat yourself to a relaxing massage or a pampering beauty treatment.

Room Description

There are 12 cosy canvas safari-style tents, raised above the ground to give you privacy and to make the most of the sea breeze. Each has a wraparound furnished deck, polished hardwood floor, solar-powered lighting and en-suite bathroom. Paperbark Camp follows a sustainable philosophy and has Advanced Eco Accreditation, so you won’t find air-conditioning or heating, television or power points for your technology – all the better to help you switch off and relax!

Chill out in the wonderfully peaceful atmosphere of the camp, watch the wildlife from your deck, take a stroll through the paperbark, gum and mangrove forest, or head out and explore Jervis Bay’s pristine beaches and national parks. You can borrow a bike or canoe for free and set out to the small holiday town of Huskisson, stopping en route for a swim.

Built high off the ground among the treetops, the Gunyah Restaurant serves breakfast each morning and a bar menu in the afternoons and evenings. It’s also the perfect spot for a sundowner and, if you can’t bear to disconnect completely from the outside world, it’s the one place in camp with WiFi.
