Overview
On this superb 14 day tour around the Rainbow Nation, which begins in Johannesburg and ends in beautiful Cape Town, you will experience so much of what makes it one of the world's great tourist destinations. On this north south journey you will go on safari in the vast Kruger National Park, visit Swaziland and Zululand, stop in the ocean-side cities of Durban and Port Elizabeth and drive along the famous Garden Route and through the winelands, making it a wonderful way to see the real South Africa.
Day 1
Arrive Johannesburg
On arrival at the airport you will be met and taken to your hotel in the city. Johannesburg is the largest and most populous city in South Africa. It is also the source of a large-scale gold and diamond trade, due to its location on the mineral-rich Witwatersrand range of hills. Relax after the journey then possibly go out on your own or take a tour and see some of the sights. Tonight, back at the hotel, join your fellow travellers at a reception and briefing when you will be told about all that you will be doing over the coming weeks.
