Only negative was the transfer as the minicab was old and we got stopped by police on entry into the airport. When the police finally let us through the driver dropped us at the other side of the terminal to the check in

We had a great stay at the Hotel Paradisus on Gran Canaria recommended by Helen Jones and her team. Perfect beachside location, spa, four restaurants and a food hall, 24 hour room service, gym, and attentive friendly staff. Beautifully decorated with lush tropical gardens. We booked the exclusive Reserve area of the hotel that has its own pool, bar and sun terrace. The Paradisus is a 45 minute walk along the coast path to the dunes of Maspalomas which we used most days but a regular bus service stops outside the front door. We've stayed at Ikos resorts in the past and the Meliá group runs them close but it’s a considerably cheaper option if you’re looking for an escape from the UK’s wettest winter. Helen has been organising our holidays for the past 15 years and has never let us down
Did not enjoy easyjet flights
Whilst perhaps we should have specified our room choice from the beginning our assumption from the hotel's website was that all rooms had sea views. Fortunately they were quiet and they were able to offer an upgrade.

Ashley at DialAFlight went above and beyond for me this time, as he always does. A change to my dates was no problem and last minute questions were answered immediately. He takes everything in his stride and it is a pleasure dealing with him.
