Overview
This fantastic cruise aboard the luxurious Seven Seas Navigator is perfect if you want to combine visits to Australia, Tasmania and New Zealand with relaxing days at sea. Beginning in Sydney, you sail first to Melbourne then across the Tasman Sea to explore the beautiful island of Tasmania before heading off to New Zealand for a comprehensive trip around the south and north islands.
Day 1
Sydney
You board the Seven Seas Navigator in Sydney with time to explore before setting sail. One of the liveliest, must-see cities of the Pacific Rim, Sydney began life as a British penal colony in 1788. Today its skyline is crowned by the billowing sails of its famed Opera House. You can get a glimpse of the past along the narrow, twisting streets of the Rocks, Sydney’s restored historical district, and the adventurous can try Sydney bridge climb. You can also take excursions to the Blue Mountains.

Day 3
Melbourne
Far from the clichéd Australia of popular perception, Melbourne is a graceful city of European style and substance, with fine living and cultural riches. Its many green parks and public gardens reflect the foresight of this city's 19th century founders and their intention to create a "pleasing to the eye" metropolis for the enjoyment of all. The city's moderate climate and financial prominence have attracted huge numbers of visitors from all over the world.

Day 4
Melbourne
Another full day to experience the delights of one of the world's great tourist cities seeing all the sights and visiting some of the famous places. You can spend time at the massive MCG - the city's cricket and sports stadium - and have a fascinating guided tour, take a walk around the modern harbour area, visit the Old Jail or relax on one of the many beaches. Today you could also take an excursion along the Great Ocean Road seeing the Twelve Apostles

Day 5
Burnie, Tasmania
Located on the northwest coast of Tasmania, Burnie was originally settled in 1827 as “Emu Bay.” The town was later renamed after William Burnie, a director of the Van Diemen’s Land Company. The first settlers literally carved a village out from the rain forests and tea-tree swamps in the area. After mineral deposits were discovered in Tasmania, the town prospered. In the late 30s. Lots of excursions around beautiful Tasmania available today that can be booked on board.

Day 7
At Sea
Dining plays a big part on any cruise and on the Seven Seas Navigator it is something special. There are so many options but the Compass Rose is the flagship restaurant which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and features an exceptional variety of European-inspired Continental cuisine, as well as flavourful vegetarian and kosher dishes and nutritious spa club specialties. The onboard entertainment is also top notch and the night time shows are magnificent.

Day 8
Milford Sound, New Zealand
Today is spend cruising through the spectacular fjords of New Zealand's Milford Sound. You have all day on the ship but as the scenery is stunning most of the time will probably be spent up on one of the decks as the Seven Seas Navigators sails slowly through the misty landscape which many people consider is the country's most beautiful attraction. See ribbon waterfalls cascade into the ocean and watch out for lots of wildlife.
tour image
Day 9
Dunedin
Today you arrive at charming Dunedin, at the head of a fiord-like inlet surrounded by seven hills and a city with a very Scottish flavour. In the early days it was the largest and wealthiest city in the country, thanks to its gold fields. Discover the rugged Otago Peninsula, filled with geological wonders, and see the great albatross and visit Larnach Castle, a historic 19th-century property surrounded by gardens. It is said Dunedin is the most perfectly preserved Victorian City anywhere.
tour image
Day 10
Akaroa
Set on a beautiful, sheltered harbour and overlooked by craggy volcanic hills, Akaroa is a popular resort town on Banks Peninsula in New Zealand. The name Akaroa means “Long Harbour.” Sailors from the HMS Britomart proclaimed British sovereignty for the land in 1840, but French settlers also arrived in the area that year. There is still a heavy French influence found on the island, including many French local names and you can enjoy a number of tours while docked here.
tour image
Day 11
Wellington
Today in Wellington you can stroll past Victorian Gothic buildings, visit the exquisite Botanic Gardens, take the cable car up the mountain for a fantastic view, or head for the city beach. Journey around the spectacular harbour with its amazing views and visit a sheep or cattle station. You can also see some of the sites where the Lord of the Rings trilogy was filmed and go shopping for arts and crafts, jewellery, fine woolens, and leather goods.
tour image
Day 12
Napier
The twin cities of Napier and Hastings, located within the region of Hawke's Bay on the East Coast of New Zealand's North Island, are unique. The area is blessed with a Californian-Mediterranean climate, boasting one of the highest sunshine averages in the country. The area is also dotted with colourful vineyards and orchards, with fertile farmland. Within the region are more than 20 of New Zealand's finest vineyards and you can visit the best of them on a tour.
tour image
Day 13
Rotorua
Tauranga, where your cruise ship docks today, is the centre of a large citrus and sub tropical fruit-growing area and is a favorite base for deep-sea anglers. Across the harbour is the major port for the region, Mt Maunganui, an important outlet for the vast timber industry. Tauranga has become a favourite for thousands of holidaymakers because of its sun-baked sands and sparkling waters prove an irresistible attraction and from here you can visit the bubbling hot springs of Rotorua.
tour image
Day 14
Bay Of Islands
The "Bay of Islands" was how Captain Cook described this area two centuries ago and the simplicity of his name masks the diversity of its charms. This is the finest Maritime Park in the country with 144 islands, secluded bays and an abundance of marine life. It is one of the most popular fishing, sailing and tourist destinations in the country, and has been renowned internationally for its big-game fishing since author Zane Grey publicised it in the 1930s
tour image
Day 15
Auckland
Your wonderful cruise comes to an end today when you arrive in Auckland, “The City Of Sails”, which is spread over a narrow isthmus. Auckland has all the amenities of a world-class city. Browse the shops of Queen Street or the Parnell area with its galleries and boutiques in quaint Victorian buildings. For a magnificent panorama travel to Mount Eden, or visit the Skytower. Minutes from downtown you can relax on a beach, or explore the America’s Cup Yachting Village
