The Emirates flights and chauffeur service were excellent apart from the pick up in Dubai where the driver couldn't find our friend's house - partly my fault because I listed my uk mobile as the contact and it was not switched on.

Emirates no longer provide a lacto ovo vegetarian meal. It has become raw vegetarian - not recommended! I discovered this when I called Emirates in Auckland to check I actually had a meal for my return trip. Excellent flights and connections though!

Everything worked out perfectly and the flights were all on time. Qatar cabin staff were extremely polite, respectful, friendly, smart and efficient. The toilets were spotlessly clean. I slept well and had no jet lag either way; a very long journey for an 81-year-old and no ill effects!
