Set on the clifftop, at the sandy beach of Prospect Bay, on Barbados' west coast, Waves Beach Resort is an all-inclusive wellness hotel that's the perfect place to get away from it all. It boasts attentive service, great food, plenty of activities and an indulgent spa, while Bridgetown, Barbados' vibrant capital, is just 10 minutes away.
At the tranquil spa you can treat yourself from a menu of massages, facials and body treatments, one of which is included in your stay. Here you'll also find a sauna, steam room and manicure/pedicure stations.
There are 70 rooms and suites, many of them with ocean views. The design is simple and calming, with much use of natural materials, and all have air-conditioning, large television, Bluetooth speakers, fridge, safe and, in keeping with the wellness theme, a yoga mat.
You can choose from a wide range of activities as part of the all-inclusive programme, including both motorised and non-motorised watersports, fitness classes and golf. You can also work out in the well-equipped fitness centre, or relax in the two pools, one of them adults-only. The poolside terrace is a great place to relax. You'll also find plenty of live entertainment, shows and DJ nights, as well as educational events including cookery classes and cocktail mixology workshops.
Seascape restaurant is open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner, specialising in Mediterranean cuisine, with a variety of international theme nights. Kyma is a coffee shop and deli where, by night, you can often join in wine and rum tastings and cooking workshops, and Shiso serves Asian fusion cuisine. You can also take advantage of the Taste of Elegance Dine Around Programme, which gives you access to 15 restaurants and bars in Waves' sister properties.
