General

Sandy Lane in Barbados is often considered the premier luxury resort in the world, preferred by the rich and famous. Sandy Lane is a romantic retreat for those seeking seclusion, a haven of tranquillity for couples, or the perfect location for families who desire the finest holiday experience with a wide choice of leisure options. It is now also one of the finest golf resorts in the Caribbean with 3 courses to choose from.

Spa

The Spa at Sandy Lane is a splendid Romanesque building, fronted by a spectacular waterfall cascading into the large free-form swimming pool, where highly skilled therapists are waiting to rejuvenate your mind, body and spirit. Each suite offers a private shower, bathroom and changing facilities, where you can relax and escape. Nine suites also feature private landscaped gardens and three have hydrotherapy pools

Golf

Sandy Lane The Country Club is a challenging course featuring slick greens, five lakes and lovely open fairways with angled slopes. Most holes offer spectacular Caribbean Sea views, and are shared with the famous Bajan Green Monkeys, which live in the gullies in and around the course. It recently held the World Cup of golf in December 2006. The Green Monkey is another Tom Fazio masterpiece, carved out of a former quarry with dramatic elevation changes and spectacular views of the Caribbean Sea. It is reportedly the most expensive golf course ever built and is still not officially open. However residents have the opportunity to play for an hour each day; and you should play at least once whilst in resort as it is by some distance the most dramatic golf experience in the Caribbean. Finally, The famous Old Nine course, constructed in 1961, is an intimate yet challenging course with its tree-lined fairways still winding its way magically through the old estate.

Room Description

Sandy Lane has 113 luxury rooms and suites in 7 categories. Averaging 900 square feet, rooms are spacious and uniquely feature a large private verandah. All rooms have plasma wide-screen television, an interactive entertainment system, stereo, private bar, safe and telephone
