There is no experience quite like spending a few days in one of America's stunning national parks, and when it comes to natural beauty Yosemite in California is among the best. Arrive at Yosemite National Park
On entering you will receive a park map and the invaluable Yosemite Guide which contains information about all park activities, scheduled events, and hours of operations for the different facilities and services. After checking into Camp Curry call in at the Valley Visitor centre which has information, orientation programmes, exhibits and books, as well as shops. Then check out the Yosemite Museum and the Indian Village. When touring around the park always take bottled water with you, never disturb the wildlife, and make sure your camera is at the ready to capture nature at its grandest.
Yosemite Valley Tour
After a buffet breakfast at the dinning pavilion get ready for a day of discovery and excitement. Start with a two-hour ranger-guided, Valley Floor Tour on an open-air tram and see some of Yosemite’s famous sights including the highest waterfall in North America, the El Captain and Half Dome granite monoliths, foggy Bridalveil Falls, Glacier Point, Mirror Lake and the “Tunnel View” at Wawona. Later return to your favourite site and spend more time exploring, or enjoy some of the other activities including hiking, bird-watching, biking, mule and horseriding, and water sports. Overnight Curry Village.
After breakfast this morning join a park ranger on an informative and inspiring walk which allows for an interactive, learning experience and provides an opportunity to get answers to any questions you may have about the park, its animals and its people. Later check out of Curry Village and continue your California holiday having seen one of the nation's greatest national parks.
