On this exciting eight day tour you will see all the many wonders of Turkey. On this guided tour, which begins and ends in exciting Istanbul, you will get to see all the famous places, spectacular icons, and natural wonders that make Turkey so special. Add to this all the warmth and friendliness of the people and you are sure to have a memorable time.
On arrival at Istanbul you are met at the airport by one of our tour representatives and taken to your hotel in the city. Relax after the journey then go out and explore some of this great city on your own and get a feel for the place before returning to the hotel where a welcome dinner is waiting.
After breakfast set off on a full day of sightseeing in Istanbul. Start with a visit to the famous Blue Mosque an incredibly beautiful building with its vivid blue tiles and six minarets. Then continue to the Hippodrome and the nearby Hagia Sophia, which ranks as one of the great marvels of world architecture. After lunch visit Topkapi Palace which for more than 400 years was the imperial residence of the Ottoman Sultans and is now home to priceless collections of porcelain, jewellery, and art. Then end the tour in the Grand Bazaar, the vast and legendary covered market that is the biggest souk in the world
After breakfast we set off on a half day of sightseeing in Istanbul. We will start with a visit to Spice Market, Egyptian Bazaar built in the 17th century, this is the second largest covered bazaar in Istanbul. On to the Egyptian Spice Bazaar, where the pungent and savory aroma of exotic oils, herbs and spices have perfumed the arched stone corridors for nearly 350 years. Now also proferring nuts, honey, dried fruits, traditional sweets and herbal remedies, the Spice Bazaar’s redolent wares will transform you into a veritable spice trader. After than, we will continue our tour with Bosphorus Cruise in a regular boat. A traditional boat tour through the waterway separating Asia and Europe. Seeing along the way the old Ottoman wooden mansions, marble palaces, foreign embassies estates and small fishery villages, located at the Asian and European sides. Do not miss important sightseeing spots at the Bosphorus such as Dolmabahçe Palace, Rumeli Fortress and Beylerbeyi.

Istanbul/ Ankara / Cappadocia
After breakfast you'll check out of the hotel and head to the vibrant Egyptian Spice Market, built in 1664 as part of the adjacent Yeni Camii ("New Mosque"). The small shops here sell a fascinating range of fragrant spices, dried fruits, nuts and seeds, as well as jewellery and gifts. Afterwards, there's a chance to relax and watch the world go by as you cruise along the Bosphorus. Along the way you'll see Dolmabahçe Palace, Beylerbeyi Palace, the Ottoman summer mansions, Ortaköy Mosque, Rumeli Fortress and the Bosphorus Bridge, one of the world's largest suspension bridges. After lunch you're off to the airport for your flight to Cappadocia.
Today's tour starts with a visit to the Underground City of Kaymakli, the place early Christians hid from persecutors. The houses in the village are built around the 100 tunnels of the underground city. The tunnels are still used today as storage areas, stables, and cellars. After lunch visit the Open Air Museum in Goreme and admire the early Christian churches decorated with unique frescoes depicting various scenes from the Bible. Stop by Pigeon Valley near Uchisar and finally there is time for some shopping. Overnight in Cappadocia.
Cappadocia / Konya / Pamukkale
After another early breakfast set off for Pamukkale. On the way you visit the 13th century Sultanhan Caravanserai, a building that ranks as one of the Seljuk masterpieces. From here continue on to Konya where you visit the Mevlana Museum, a museum and monastery complex that is dedicated to the life and teachings of the Rumi, the 13th century founder of the Whirling Dervish mystical order. After lunch continue to Pamukkale where dinner is waiting at your hotel.
Pamukkale / Kusadasi / Izmir
Today you begin with a visit to the well-kept ruins of the ancient city of Hierapolis, where you have the opportunity to explore the site’s Apollo Temple, Theatre and Necropolis. From here you travel on to Aprodisias, the city of the Goddess of Love, where you see the well preserved Theatre, Stadium, the Odeon and the Agora. After lunch you are driven to the resort town of Kusadasi where you can relax before dinner at your hotel.
Izmir / Istanbul
Today your adventurous Wonders of Turkey tour comes to an end. Possibly time for some last minute shopping and sightseeing in Izmir before you are picked up from your hotel and driven to the airport to catch your short flight back to Istanbul. You can stay on here and extend your holiday seeing more of this great city or go to the airport for your flight home.
