This self drive tour begins in Adelaide and takes you through the beautiful wine growing region of the Barossa Valley before ending with a relaxing stay on Kangaroo Island.
Day 1
Adelaide to Barossa
Collect your car in Adelaide after seeing all the sights and begin today's 70 mile drive via the Chain of Ponds to the Barossa, one of Australia’s most significant wine regions. The Barossa is famous for its Shiraz, Eden Valley Riesling and other premium wines, regional produce and acclaimed restaurants. Here you can visit some of the well known wine producers such as Penfolds Barossa, Saltram Wine Estate, Wolf Blass and Jacob’s Creek and enjoy some tastings.

Today is free for you to sample more of the delights of this famous wine region. You can follow one of the many food and wine trails, visit the local farmer’s markets or stop to taste gourmet local produce at Maggie Beer’s Farm Shop. If it’s a more relaxing day you prefer, browse the galleries and museums of the Barossa or play a round of golf on one of the superb courses. And if you are a true wine buff, you could always fit in a visit to another of the wineries.

Day 3
Barossa to McLaren Vale
Today after breakfast you travel through the Adelaide Hills to explore some of the 33 cellar doors, vineyards and orchards.
