Day 1
Adelaide to Mt Gambier
Your adventure begins when you pick up your hire vehicle and drive to the south-east of Adelaide to the slopes of an extinct volcano. Mt. Gambier has two famous attractions, the Blue Lake and the Cave in the centre of the city. As a consequence it is known as "Blue Lake City" or the "City Around a Cave". The lake is famous for its colour change from winter grey to intense blue in November. It remains blue until late March, and beside its beauty, is the source of domestic water. Overnight at The Barn
