General

Located on the Osa Peninsula in south western Costa Rica, Casa Corcovado Jungle Lodge is a 170-acre private reserve tucked away in the trees bordering Corcovado National Park. Carefully designed and built by an American naturalist with over 25 years of local experience, this unique lodge offers accommodation constructed with the utmost concern for conservation of the landscape and the environment, and provides the ideal base for an in-depth rainforest experience.

Room Description

Accommodation at the Casa Corcovado comprises artfully appointed individual bungalows and suites, offering unpretentious comfort, mosquito-netted beds, ceiling fan, tiled floors, lounge area, dry mini bar, safe and hammock. Spacious private bathrooms have hot-water showers and designer fixtures, while doors feature stained glass and windows are decorated with wood handmade by Costa Rican artisans.

Activities

There are no roads to Casa Corcovado Jungle Lodge, so access is only by a one-and-a-half-hour ride down the Sierpe River, winding through the largest mangrove wetlands system on the Pacific coast of Central America. From then on, all the amazing activities of the jungle are at your fingertips, from a range of land and water tours to horse riding and hiking. Also on site is a swimming pool powered by solar energy.

Dining

Casa Corcovado's Bar El Bosque is surrounded by the rainforest and fruit trees, making it perfect for bird watching while sipping a refreshing drink from the exotic cocktail menu. The new restaurant, Los Vitrales, is set in a Spanish colonial and art-deco style building where delicious meals are prepared each day, from the freshest vegetables and seafood to steak, chicken and pasta.
