After leaving Vancouver you call in at the lovely city of Victoria, capital of Vancouver Island, then its off across the ocean spending five days on board before reaching your exotic destination.
It's well worth arriving in Vancouver a few days before your cruise begins giving you plenty of time to explore this wonderful city. Vancouver is ranked as the third most livable city in the world where urban life is combined with mountain culture. Make sure you take a walk or cycle around Stanley Park, visit historic Gastown, go shopping in the high end boutiques and stores in Robson Street before boarding your cruise liner - the Celebrity Solstice.
After leaving the city you sail the short distance across the bay to Vancouver Island for a day moored at the capital Victoria. This seaside enclave enjoys a temperate climate and there are a whole range of tours that can be booked on board. While moored here you should visit some of the many museums and parks and if you are a golfer there are lots of fine courses. But whatever you do, plan in a visit to see the floral splendour of the Butchart Gardens.
The first of five consecutive days at sea and a good time to discover all that the Celebrity Solstice has to offer. This is the ship that inspired Celebrity's Solstice Class of cruising and is one of the most decorated liners in the fleet. It is rich in luxurious design and exciting new experiences and many regular cruises regard it as a destination in itself. Relax as you head out across the Pacific Ocean and check out all the amenities.
Your second day at sea and by now you should be getting into the swing of on board life and making a wish list of all the things you want to and the activities to take part in during the voyage. Celebrity Solstice was the first of the company's ships to feature the unique Lawn Club – half an acre of grass on the top deck, where a casual country club atmosphere is the norm. Here you can embrace your competitive side with a range of games in the sunshine.
Another day at sea to enjoy the fabulous cuisine on offer in all the ship's restaurants which range from convenient food and drink stations to elegant restaurants and bars. When your appetite is well and truly worked up, head to one of the specialty restaurants. At Silk Harvest, you can go on a culinary journey through the authentic flavours of Asia in a friendly and laid back atmosphere. Finish the perfect day with a delicious cocktail in one of the sophisticated bars.
After a day relaxing on deck in the sunshine beside one of the pools topping up your tan or pampering yourself with a treatment in the ship's delightful spa, tonight you may want to take in a Broadway style show in the ship's huge and impressive Main Theatre. Stadium-style concerts, fairytales and comedies are all on offer and there is never a dull moment on this ship from morning to late at night.
The last of your full days at sea on the cruise so make the very most of it. Try dining amid the rustic charm of speciality restaurant the Tuscan Grille where big bold flavours of succulent dry aged steaks are complimented by fine regional Italian wines. Try an exotic cocktail or two in the bars and marvel at the theatrical way the waiters serve your drinks. And if you are feeling lucky check out the Fortunes Casino with its classic table games and slot machines.
After five days cruising across the Pacific Ocean today the Celebrity Solstice arrives at Hilo and there are a whole range of tours to choose from that can be booked on board. Flanked by two volcanoes, the City of Rainbows, as it is called, is among other things a kayaking paradise. Journey into the interior of the island which is replete with rainforests and oozing lava flows and where ancient Hawaii lives on.
Another day, another island. Today the Celebrity Solstice drops anchor at Kailua Kona which is on the beautiful Kona coast. Here some of the world's best coffee is harvested and you can tour the plantations or head for the marine sanctuary of Kealakekua Bay, which is a paradise for snorkellers. Again there are a whole range of tours you can book or you can go ashore independently and explore on your own.

Also while at Lahaina you may be lucky enough to witness the annual great migration of humpback whales. Tonight enjoy a farewell dinner on board as the sun sets and you head for Honolulu.
