The flights we originally booked changed a little reducing the connection time in Abu Dhabi to 65 minutes. We were able to transfer through the airport in this time, but only just, and we had to run to do so! Other people did not meet the timescale so our connecting flight was delayed.

The late changes to itinerary because spice jet changed its winter schedule were actually unnecessary because they reinstated their schedule again before we flew. Consequently we were exposed to Air India who delayed or baggage for phantom security reasons and then refused to forward it on - jeopardising our holiday plans. Happily we found people who could get someone to drive the bag for 6 hrs to where we were.

It would be useful to warn people trying to get into Delhi airport for check in, that you don’t need a boarding card, but proof of your flight details is essential. It was very chaotic and if you were short of time, very stressful.
