At Ecohabs Tayrona, a collection of beautiful round huts perch on a hillside and overlook a long and wild beach where, in May, turtles come to lay their eggs. Set in the Arrecifes and Canaveral areas of Tayrona National Park, the eco cabins are reached after an hour-long trek through the rainforest or a shorter horse ride along the stunning beach.
Ecohabs Tayrona has three smaller and 11 larger huts, all with an upstairs bedroom with panoramic views. Downstairs sitting areas feature a comfortable hammock to laze away the days in, and a fully equipped bathroom. All huts are luxurious and have a chic and minimalist decor of white and natural blues.
The Ecohabs lodge has a release programme for the turtles that come to lay their eggs on the beach, which guests can participate in. For those who enjoy walking and trekking, Tayrona National Park is paradise, with trails through the rainforest surrounded by tropical butterflies and exotic foliage. There's also an indulgent spa - the perfect place to relax after a day of trekking.
The freshest tropical fruits and seafood are taken from the surrounding seas and served in the restaurant at Ecohabs in a candle-lit cabin or on the beach. With the sounds of the Caribbean waves close by, it's a romantic hideaway offering delicious cuisine and a selection of beverages.
