General

The House Hotel Bosphorus is a lively and vibrant boutique hotel that was formerly a 19th-century Ottoman mansion. It’s well located at the foot of the Bosphorus Bridge in the cobblestoned enclave of Ortaköy, home to a famous mosque as well as lots of restaurants, cafés and clubs. The architect-design hotel is the perfect home from home experience in Istanbul, just 33km from Ataturk airport.

Room Description

The hotel’s 26 rooms resemble grand Parisian apartments, all featuring high ceilings, decorative mouldings, modern chandeliers and a glass-walled bathroom with a privacy blind. Superior rooms have goose down duvets and pillows, a work desk, robes, slippers and Lokum Istanbul toiletries. Superior Bosphorus rooms also have a private balcony with Bosphorus views, while suites have separate living rooms. The hotel also has its own private boat – The Boat House – in which guests can stay.

Activities

Workout in the hotel’s small gym, before discovering Ortaköy, a lively and vibrant neighborhood on the European side of the city best known for its food stalls and night life. Ortaköy is a typical Bosphorus shoreline enclave, with cobbled streets and leafy trees shading cafes, restaurants, bars and famous clubs. Cobblestone streets lead down to the Ortaköy Mosque (Buyuk Mecidiye Camii), a neo-Baroque mosque built in the 19th century on a platform that juts out into the strait, and the banks of the Bosphorus.

Dining

The Bosphorus Lounge offers a stunning view stretching from the bridge to the Topkapi Palace, serving buffet breakfast, snacks and drinks, or guests can head to sister establishment The House Café on the ground floor.
