Set within the Sabi Sand Wildtuin, in the south-west of Kruger National Park, Sabi Sabi Bush Lodge boasts luxurious accommodation and excellent service, plus the chance to see Africa's "big five" – lion, leopard, rhino, buffalo and elephant – as well as 200 other animal species, all in their natural habitat.
Take some time out between safari adventures for a spot of pampering at the Amani Spa. Here you can choose from a menu of holistic body, skin and beauty rituals and massages.
There are 25 suites in total, including two luxury villas and the Mandleve Presidential Suite. Each has an en suite bathroom as well as an outdoor shower, with views of the bushveld. The luxury villas are air-conditioned and have a second bedroom and a lounge, as well as a patio with views of a waterhole, while the Mandleve Presidential Suite has its own private plunge pool.
The main attraction here is, of course, the rich wildlife, and on the day and night safaris you can expect to see plenty of lions, elephants, rhino and hyenas, as well as some of Sabi Sabi's 350 species of birds. Back at the lodge you can take a dip in one of the two swimming pools, or relax on one of the large covered viewing decks, gazing out over the Msuthlu riverbed. At the EleFun Centre, children can take part in fun, environmentally-themed activities.
The food at Bush Lodge is delicious contemporary African fare, ranging from South African barbeque dishes to African mezze platters, as well as Indian vegetarian cuisine.
