Trieste passed my expectations. The hotel Savoie was amazing - clean, comfortable, delicious food, the most convenient location and views with the friendliest staff ever. Their enthusiasm for their city was boundless and infectious. The tourist office was incredibly helpful and pointed me in the direction of an unbelievable 21 euro card which enabled me to have access to all museums, public transport and a walking tour of the city. I was also told about two amazing concerts - the Triestinis certainly know how to party. But the highlight of my stay must surely be the beautiful old coffee shops - just don't tell anyone about the delicious cakes! A great trip from start to finish with lovely staff and everyone involved in the arrangements for my trip were wonderful.
