Wacax was a great find. It is a very special place. The surroundings are stunning. Essentially you live in self-contained, well-appointed suites, spread across the forest amongst the wildlife. There are free guided tours in the forest, the amenities are good and they give you bikes to get around. You aren’t far from Tulum although a note of caution: taxis are expensive, especially to the busy beachfront or Mayan Ruins. Thanks again for the recommendation Bobby, it was a super trip.

We were booked into Majestic Elegance Costa Majueres but they didnt have the room we booked available. In the end they moved us to a better hotel Majestic Mirage which was far better and we had a better suite. Great choice of restaurants which was our priority. Newer hotel and much better, staff were brilliant and lovely. The Elegance was dated in comparison. So glad they moved us and it was only 5 mins away.

On our return flight BA changed the type of plane and put us in different parts of the Premium Economy cabin. We did manage to get seats together eventually with the help of staff at the airport and all was well. But this has seriously dented my opinion of BA and in future I would like to consider other airlines for long haul trips.
