Full Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Miami, United States

Miami, where you board your cruise ship, is a city of wildly diverse districts, jigsawed into a vast urban corridor from two technically separate cities - mainland Miami and the huge sand bar known as Miami Beach. If you’re sticking to the most popular areas in Miami Beach and downtown, you can zip around easily by bus and on foot. During an MSC most people spend their time in South Beach, a fairly small area at the southern end of the sand bar, where you’ll find art galleries and trendsetting restaurants.

Day 2: At Sea

The first of your three full days at sea and a good time to get to know your ship. The Seaside was the first ship built by MSC Cruises specifically to cater for the North American market. It's the namesake of the line's Seaside Class ships and brings new entertainment, a variety of speciality restaurants, larger MSC Yacht Club facilities, family and penthouse-style suites and an expanded kids club making it a great choice for a family holiday.

Day 3: At Sea

Another full day at sea so relax, soak up the sunshine and enjoy all the ship's facilities and entertainments as you sail across the Caribbean on route to the island of St Maarten. It helps to have a head for heights on one of the the world’s newest cruise ships, whether you are hurtling down a 425ft zip line, crossing a glass-bottomed bridge above the ocean, spiralling down a water chute or edging along a rope course, you don’t want a sudden attack of vertigo on MSC Seaside.

Day 4: Philipsburg, St. Maarten

After disembarking from your cruise ship in the Dutch port of Philipsburg and visiting the Court House, the heart of the city that now serves as the Post Office, don’t miss out on an excursion to the French side of the island. Marigot, the capital of Saint Martin located on the western coast, is protected by the great lagoon of Simpson Bay. It has retained the atmosphere of late 17th century, when it was founded. It is worthwhile visiting its historical centre, which its wooden houses and delightful shops.

Day 5: San Juan, Puerto Rico

San Juan, the capital of Puerto Rico, is one of the world’s top cruise ship destinations, with most of the pleasure boats docking at the port by the old town. As recently as the 1970s, Old San Juan was a run-down collection of Spanish colonial relics, in little better shape than the collapsed empire that built them. Now, however, after extensive and careful restoration, this seven-block-square area is considered one of the best-kept troves of Spanish colonial architecture and has become a World Heritage Site.

Day 6: At Sea

Your final full day at sea on the cruise so make the very most of it. Of course, as well as all the adventurous on-board activities, there’s plenty else to do safely inside the ship, from shooting zombies in a virtual reality cinema or driving a Formula One simulator to going ten-pin bowling or taking in one of the seven spectacular theatre shows. The dining options are endless and the entertainment goes on throughout the day and night.

Day 7: Nassau, Bahamas

Today you dock at Nassau, capital of the Bahamas, which occupies the eastern portion of the island of New Providence and is linked by a charming bridge with the neighbouring Paradise Island, where Atlantis Waterscape is located. The largest open-air aquarium in the world, it has more than 100 different species of colourful tropical fish. In Nassau, you can interact with dolphins and go on trips to neighbouring islands in motorboats. To get a taste of the local style of living, take a trip to Cable Beach.

Day 8: Miami, United States

Today your lovely cruise across the Caribbean comes to an end when the MSC Seaside arrives back into Miami. Say farewell to new found friends then spend some more time exploring this exciting and colourful city before heading to the airport to catch an onward flight or begin your journey back home. It may well be worth extending your holiday after the cruise and going on a tour around Florida and visiting some of the world famous theme parks.
