I would suggest that you give more time to any transfer in Washington Dulles, or don't book transfers for there. As it took 2 hours 35 minutes to go through Passport control there, so many people missed their connections. I got to mine 1 minute beforehand and that was only due to running most of the way!
Your immediate and out of hours action to make alternative arrangements necessitated by delayed flights was spectacular, huge thanks
