You don't have to be a nature lover to get the most out of this spectacular tour of Brazil, but it certainly helps. Over 10 memorable days you will see so many natural wonders and the Naturalist tour itinerary will highlight all Brazil's abundant ecological beauty and diversity. The tour takes travellers not only to the Amazon, the world's greatest river, but to the equally impressive Pantanal region in the south of the country. Add to this a visit to the amazing Iguassu Falls on the borders of Argentina and Paraguay and you have a trip that would make even David Attenborough jealous.
After arriving in Manaus, the capital of Amazonas, the largest state in Brazil, you will soon appreciate how this modern city is the ideal place to begin exploring the Amazon. Tour boats leave Manaus to see the Meeting of the Waters, where the black waters of the Negro River meet the light waters of the Solimoes River, flowing side by side without mixing for several miles. You can also explore river banks and swim and canoe in placid lakes or simply walk in the lush forest. Overnight at the Tropical Manaus Hotel.
