Arrive in Buenos Aires
After your flight arrives in the capital you will be met at the airport and taken to the Savoy Hotel in the city for your first night. After checking in and relaxing after the journey the remainder of the day is free for you to go out and explore at your leisure. A visit to the emblematic Café Tortoni is a must
Today you will be taken on a three hour tour of the city visiting the most important sites and discovering the magic of this cosmopolitan capital. You will see the magnificence of the Northern Quarters, Palermo and the beauty of its parks and buildings, Recoleta with its French style architecture, the imposing Colon Theatre, Plaza de Mayo (May Square) and the Metropolitan Cathedral. Tigre and Delta Only 30 km from downtown Buenos Aires, the city of Tigre constitutes the access to know the Delta of the Paraná River , a group of islands and streams that open up like a fan and offer an attractive natural scenery ideal for recreation and rowing, skiing, sailing or fishing. This 4 hour tour includes sailing along the different canals of the Delta and goes through the northern residential area of Buenos Aires suburbs, where the President's Major House is located.
Gaucho's Festival The typical landscape of the Argentina humid Pampa, one of the most fertile natural prairies in the world, famous for its meat and cereal production, may be appreciated by the tourist in this tour that includes a reception with "empanadas" (meat pies) and "asado" (roast meat) and good Argentinean wines, a show with folk songs and dances and an exhibition of the gaucho's abilities with riding, taming and the use of the lasso.
Buenos Aires to Iguassu
You will be picked up from your hotel after breakfast and driven to the airport for your flight to Iguassu. As your plane approaches Iguassu you should get a great bird's eye view of the spectacular falls. You will be met at the airport and taken to your hotel for a 2 night stay
In the afternoon you will be taken on a tour of the Brazilian side of the falls. Taking a beautiful route you will have fabulous panoramic views. You will be able to see the incomparable beauty of the falls from several balconies and a runway over the river up to the Devils Throat, where besides getting wet with the mist, you will enjoy the closest view of the greatest falls in South America.
A full day tour of the Argentinian side of the falls. After a short ride on a train through the lush forest, you set off on foot along the walking circuits of the national park. On the lower circuit you will enter deep into the jungle, crossing streams and stopping at a number of viewing galleries to admire the falls. On the upper circuit is a series of bridges and platforms that take you across the Iguassu River deep into the jungle and into a breathtaking amphitheatre of immense falling water known as the Devil’s Throat.
Iguassu to El Calafate
After breakfast will be picked up and driven to the airport for your flight to El Calafate, the gateway to the beautiful glacier district of Argentina. You will be met at the airport and taken to your chosen Calafate hotel where you will be staying for the next two nights. Time for some sightseeing before dinner.
Today you will be taken on an excursion to the beautiful Perito Moreno Glacier. Explore streams, lagoons, gullies, crevasses and plenty of ice formations on this one of a kind South American experience. Learn about the different flora, fauna and general glaciology of the region as well as a particular phenomenon that happens in the Perito Moreno Glacier. The glacier is an impressive natural wonder and due to its extension and height, it has become world famous for its easy access, continuous advance and the loud cracking of huge icebergs.
