Your adventure begins as you fly to Oslo, where you'll spend your first night.
Kirkenes Snowhotel & Husky Safari
You'll catch your flight to Kirkenes early this morning and transfer to the Snowhotel, where you'll be given your protective thermal clothing before heading out for your husky safari. You'll be taught the basics of husky handling then will drive out, two to a sled. You'll enjoy a wilderness lunch in a traditional lavvu tent before returning to the Snowhotel for a guided tour of the surrounding area and a welcome drink. This evening you'll enjoy a delicious dinner at the hotel, and may be lucky enough to spot the Northern Lights before you retire to your ice suite.
King Crab Safari
After breakfast and a sauna this morning you'll transfer to your next hotel, where you'll have some time at leisure. You'll then travel by bus and snowmobile sledge to the Barents Sea, where you'll help to cut a hole in the ice and draw up the crab pods filled with enormous King Crabs, with a claw span of up to two metres. You'll be able to cook and enjoy your catch in a local fisherman's hut before returning to your hotel, where you'll have remainder of the day at leisure.
This morning you'll enjoy a hearty breakfast before your four-hour guided snowmobile tour. You'll drive in pairs, giving you plenty of chance both to drive and to take photos, and enjoy a picnic lunch along the way. Back at the hotel, you'll have some time at leisure to relax.
This morning you'll have time for a leisurely breakfast before you transfer to the airport for your flight home.
