This fun cruise around the Western Caribbean on the luxurious liner Independence of the Seas makes a perfect add on to any holiday in Florida. Super tours are available when you visit Grand Cayman and the Mexican resort town of Cozumel and there are two full days at sea when you can relax and top up your tan. Lots of things to see and do and no shortage of exciting adventures.
Day 1
Fort Lauderdale
Before sailing on Royal Caribbean's Independence of the Seas you can speed through the thrilling Everglades on an airboat, meeting Florida’s alligators and other wildlife up close, or glide in a gondola along Fort Lauderdale’s canals. Ogle at the yachts and smart houses in Millionaire’s Row and the Intracoastal Waterway or hang out on the beautiful beaches and seafront promenades. Don’t miss the shops and restaurants in trendy Las Olas Boulevard, a great place for people watching.

Day 2
At Sea
The first of your full days at sea and a good time to get to know Royal Caribbean's Independence of the Seas and all that she has to offer. Sit back, chill in the bar, lounge by the pool or enjoy a relaxing beauty treatment in the spa. For simple pleasures, why not try a game of table tennis? Or if you’re feeling energetic, now’s the chance to explore all the amazing activities the ship has to offer, from spectacular, West-End-style entertainment to adrenalin-charged sports.

Day 3
George Town, Grand Cayman
Snorkel among tropical fish and colourful coral at Coral Gardens Reef or get up close to amazing stingrays. Parasail above the clear blue waters and glistening sands or see shipwrecks and spectacular marine life from a glass bottomed boat. Encounter endangered Green Sea Turtles at the Cayman Turtle Farm or send a postcard home from Hell, a striking outcrop of black limestone in West Bay. Lots of tours available that can be booked on board.

Day 4
Cozumel, Mexico
Today you can drive your own mini submarine, snorkel on world famous reefs or see the colourful underwater world by glass bottomed boat in lovely Cozumel, on the Caribbean coast of Mexico. There are fascinating Mayan ruins to explore too and abundant wildlife, including brightly-hued tropical birds. Look out for dolphins, manatees and sea turtles in the lovely lagoon and underwater caverns of the Chankanaab eco-park.

Day 5
At Sea
You final day at sea on the cruise so relax and make the most if it. Food plays a big part in any cruise and on the Independence of the Seas there are lots of dining options you can choose from. Today you may want to pamper yourself with a beauty treatment or massage in the state of the art spa, take part in sports and deck games and in the evening enjoy special exotic cocktails in one of the bars before seeing a show in the main theatre.

Day 6
Fort Lauderdale
Today your super cruise around the western Caribbean comes to an end when the Independence of the Seas arrives back into Fort Lauderdale. Say farewell to new found friends and possibly stay on for a few more days seeing more of this fun city before heading to the airport to catch an onward flight or begin your journey back home. There is so much to see and do in this part of Florida from where you can visit the Everglades National Park, Key West and all the Disney theme parks.
