A small, privately owned hotel on the Seychelles island of Praslin, Indian Ocean Lodge is located on Grande Anse beach, a tranquil stretch of coastline that’s pure paradise, with warm, shallow waters that extend out to the reef and its abundance of marine life – perfect for snorkelling.

Room Description

The architecture and décor at Indian Ocean Lodge are completely harmonious with the tropical surroundings. The rooms are all within low, Creole-style buildings among Eden-like gardens and facing onto the beach. Traditional materials like palm leaves, coconut husks and shells have been used throughout, alongside locally made wooden furniture.

The sea is the star of the Seychelles, and there are tons of activities available to take you out on to the water. Indian Ocean Lodge provides a complimentary shuttle bus to Cote D’Or beach, where there are diving centres that can arrange diving and snorkelling trips for you. And sailing, fishing and other water sports are all available nearby. There are also countless walking trails through the tropical forests around Praslin – great for wildlife spotting.

The Blue Marlin restaurant at Indian Ocean Lodge offers buffet and à la carte options with international and local Creole cuisines, served inside or out on the veranda. The Seafood Extravaganza is just as it sounds – a feast of locally caught seafood – and is available on request. Poolside Wahoo Bar and Bistro dishes up burgers, pasta, salads and other light bites. In the evening, local bands and singers play while you sip mouth-watering exotic cocktails served in coconut shells as the sun sets
