This amazing eco lodge is set right in the heart of the stunning Daintree Rainforest in tropical northern Queensland. There’s an emphasis on respecting and protecting the environment, such as by saving water, using less power and recycling. To get here, you need to fly to Cairns and take the three-hour drive north to the Daintree Rainforest.
Guests stay in one of seven cabins in the middle of the trees. They’re simply built out of local materials but are sturdy and have everything you need for a comfortable stay. They have queen beds, a viewing sunroof, bathroom with shower, balcony with outdoor seating, mini bar stocked with Aussie beers and wines, fly-screens, fans and a TV and DVD player.
The wild landscape of the Daintree Rainforest is at your fingertips during a stay at this fantastic lodge. Follow the dedicated nature walk from the lodge through the rainforest and you get to learn how the ecosystem works. You might even spot a Cassowary, a bright Ulysses butterfly and rainforest birds.
There’s an on-site open-air restaurant where a delicious healthy breakfast of tropical fruit, tea and coffee, bio-organic dairy produce and free-range eggs is served each morning. Evening meals are also provided with everything made using organic ingredients where possible and sourced locally.
