General

The charming Breezes Beach Club is located on a pristine and untouched Bwejuu beach on the south-east coast of Zanzibar, 25 miles off the Tanzanian mainland. It offers an intimate and peaceful setting, surrounded by pretty gardens making it the perfect choice for a romantic break or place to relax after an invigorating safari. It’s less than a one-hour drive from the capital, Stone Town, and the airport.

Room Description

The hotel offers 74 rooms divided between 10 two-storey cottages, each consisting of four deluxe rooms on the ground floor and two suites above. Rooms are decorated in ivory tones with cotton throws, teak wood finishings and traditional carvings. All have air conditioning, a celling fan, fridge, tea and coffee facilities, telephone and shower.

Activities

Guests have access to a swimming pool, spa, gym, tennis court and beach volleyball court. Other activities such as scuba diving, kayaking, snorkelling, reef walks, dinghy sailing, windsurfing are also close by. Alternatively, if you want to explore the island, the hotel organises day trips to learn about life in mangrove forests in a traditional Swahili dhow, as well as the local village of Bwejuu.

Dining

Enjoy a buffet breakfast as well as dinner at the Salama dining room. The Breakers Grill serves a barbecue lunch under the shade of palm trees. The Tides is where you’ll find private beachfront dining overlooking the Indian Ocean, or for Indian and Swahili fusion dishes, head to the Sultans Table. If you just want to relax with a drink, choose between the Safari Bar, Pool Bar or Baraza Bar.
