9/11 Memorial Tour
Tragedy and triumph at Twin Towers site
Meet your guide near to the Ground Zero site to begin a three hour journey into the bravery passion and tragedy of 9/11. Hear the key facts, illuminating events and heartbreaking stories of that tragic day while walking through the World Trade Centre area, where around 3,000 people died when two passenger planes were flown into the twin towers.
Also explore surrounding New York sites including St Paul’s Chapel, the American Express Eleven Tears Memorial, Winter Garden and Ground Zero itself. After hearing the stories of bravery that triumphed over tragedy you'll be allowed entry to the 9/11 Memorial built on the exact spot where the towers once stood and see the twin reflecting pools on which the names of the victims are inscribed (admission price extra). You will learn about the historic rebuilding taking place on the former World Trade Center site and uncover the Survivor Tree, which was nursed back to health after surviving the 9/11 attack.
