Fly to the top

The first part of this superb tour consists of a flight up to Cape Reinga via Northland's spectacular west coast and its beautiful beaches, including the famous Ninety Mile Beach. Sand dunes and ancient forests

Starting in Paihia, travel to Cooper's Beach Cafe on the beautiful east coast for a morning tea stop before driving on to Waiharara and the ancient buried Kauri forest. Next stop is the Aupouri Pine Forest, with its herds of wild horses, then the famous Ninety Mile Beach to take in the views. Enjoy an exhilarating ride through the Te Paki stream and climb the giant sand dunes before tobogganing down.


At Cape Reinga you see the crashing waves where the Tasman Sea and the Pacific Ocean collide. The splendid isolation of the lighthouse and the location of the Spirit Tree are just some of the highlights of this spiritual place. After lunch at Waitiki continue to Awanui and browse finished products made from ancient and massive Kauri timber and end the tour at the world famous' Mangonui Fish shop.
