Recognised as the best spa in Egypt and one of the largest spas in the world, the Thalasso features various facilities that extend over more than 7,500 sqm. Highlights include a large seawater facility, the aqua-tonic pool, and a variety of hydrotherapy treatments, including seaweed wraps, underwater massages, and beauty and wellness treatments.
Room Description
Each of the 325 guest rooms throughout the Kempinski Hotel Soma Bay combine oriental interiors with western accents, featuring luxurious contemporary decor and a spacious outdoor balcony or terrace. Amenities include air conditioning, WiFi, flatscreen TV, safe, telephone, plus tea and coffee making facilities. Connecting rooms are available.
Activities
The hotel has its own 400m stretch of sandy beach, great for sunbathing and there's also an expansive outdoor pool area with a dedicated kids’ pool, a lazy river that meanders around the family pool, and a grand Jacuzzi. More active guests can enjoy a game of tennis or squash, along with a fitness centre and a range of water sports, from snorkelling and diving around the coral to kite surfing and sailing. A kid's club is also available.
Dining
The main restaurant is called The View, and promises sophisticated international dining in an elegant setting as well as generous buffet breakfasts. The poolside restaurant, Al Mar, serves an à la carte lunch and drinks until sunset, while Bamboo Shoot offers exquisite Asian cuisine. There are also two bars.
