Hot on Hemingway's heels
On this tour you visit the places where the famous American writer Ernest Hemingway lived and see the other sites he used to go to and where many of his most renown novels were later set. Begin with a visit to La Vigía Farmhouse, where the author used to live, and take a walking tour of the fishermen’s village, Cojimar, where Hemingway found the inspiration for “The Old Man and the Sea".
Then stop at Hemingway’s monument and visit Las Terrazas Restaurant, temple of the author and the late captain of his boat, Gregorio Fuentes. Move on to the former Havana Nautical Club, located at the Port Avenue and visit room 511 at Ambos Mundos Hotel where Hemingway used to stay in the 1930’s. Then enjoy a cocktail or two at La Bodeguita del Medio and the Floridita bar-restaurants - his favourite watering holes.
