Head for the mountains

This tour begins early in the morning when you travel along the river Mendoza, getting a view of the majestic mountain range Cordon del Plata and the Potrerillos dam. Visit Uspallata, a pre-Hispanic settlement of aborigine Huarpes and the southern last point of the Inca Trail from Peru. Attractions here include the vaults and historic "adobe" (mud) buildings used for casting cannons and guns.

After visiting the villages of Picheuta, Polvareda, Punta de Vacas and Los Penitentes ski resort you have free time to catch the chair lift for beautiful panoramic views. Later stop at the Puente del Inca architectural site then continue to the viewpoint of Cerro Aconcagua and the Aconcagua Provincial Park. Last stop of the day is at the mountain village Las Cuevas where the views are breathtaking.

On this tour you visit two wineries, where you are shown the methods and processes of vinification and manufacturing, bottling and labelling of wines.
