Meet your guide at Robert Edward Hart Garden for this fascinating five hour excursion. Begin with a city tour visiting the Kwan Tee Pagoda and the site of Marie Reine de la Paix monument. Then see La Citadelle, an ancient military fort, where you will have great views over the whole area. Then you pass in front of the Champs de Mars, the oldest racecourse in the southern hemisphere with time for photos at each location.
Hear about the history of these famous landmarks in the capital city and see the Port Louis Theatre, the National Assembly building, Government House and the Place d'Armes. Then it's time for some serious shopping when you stop at the popular central market and the Caudan Waterfront complex for two hours at the end of the trip, where you will find local crafts as well as famous brands in the modern stores.

Your coach will take you to the jetty where you meet your guide for the 15 minute boat trip to the Ile aux Cerfs, enjoy your day at leisure to relax and explore. To get your bearings, you are first taken to view a big interactive map of the island so, with the help of the guides, you can plan your day and make the most of your visit finding out about restaurants, toilets, showers and where to find the local craft markets.
Ile aux Cerfs is a picturesque wild island spread over 87 hectares off the east coast of Mauritius and is famous for its white sandy beaches, turquoise lagoons and natural beauty. But it is also known for having chic restaurants and a wide range of watersport activities as well as a top notch 18 hole golf course which was designed by Bernhard Langer. After a memorable day here board the boat back to Trou d'Eau Douce where your excrusion will end.

Mahebourg Naval Museum and Ile Des Deux Cocos

First visit the Naval Museum of Mahebourg where you can find out about the different colonisations of the island with a preserved collection of the relics salvaged from the wrecks, and learn about the fierce naval battles that took place in the region, including the battle of Vieux Grand Port between the French and the British. Transfer to the private jetty for your boat trip to Ile Des Deux Cocos.
On arrival, there's a refreshing cold towel and welcome fresh fruit cocktails waiting before you are taken to the fascinating marine park of Blue Bay where you can go snorkeling or take a glass bottom boat, whose captain will help you to discover the underwater fauna and flora.
