Spa

The Kempinski Spa is both minimalist in design and naturalistic in approach. This alpine spa draws on the surrounding environment to provide a range of healing, balancing treatments, with massages, exfoliating scrubs, facials and the signature Alpine Rejuvenation treatment all available to soothe weary travellers.

Room Description

There’s a wide selection of rooms to suite every need and pocket – including classic single, superior and grand deluxe rooms to spa (so-called because they have direct access to the hotel spa), tower and presidential suites, as well as spacious one- up to four-bedroom suites and residences. Whatever you decide, your accommodation will be luxurious, stylish and with every mod con, including free wifi, TV entertainment system, voicemail phone, minibar, complimentary newspaper and water, work desk and pillow menu. If you choose the presidential suite, you’ll have your own butler.

Activities

Most people come to St Moritz to enjoy the skiing – the hotel has a ski school and sports shop and provides all sorts of ski services – and this truly is a skiier’s paradise. There’s also the ‘champagne climate’ (it’s said the sun shines 322 days of the year). But if skiing’s not your thing, there’s plenty to do besides. There’s sledging, inline and ice skating, hiking, mountain-climbing, windsurfing, kite-surfing, mountain biking, sailing and horse-racing all within close proximity of the hotel, not to mention opera, museums and all sorts of cultural pursuits. If you prefer racquet sports, you’ll find tennis and squash courts close by, at Tennis Centre Corviglia. Or you can try your luck at the hotel’s casino, found in the west wing.

Dining

As you might expect, the Kempinski has a number of elegant dining options. Les Saisons provides an award-winning breakfast as well as an excellent grill later in the day, providing everything from prime steak to Canadian lobster, and with a pretty fine wine list to match. There’s also stylish Enoteca for Alpine dining at its best, gourmet Mediterranean cuisine at Cà d’Oro and pan-Asian at Sra Bua. The hotel also has two restaurant partners: Mathis Food Affairs, providing a number of eating options on the slopes, at Corviglia mountain railway station; and Lej da Staz, a romantic lakeside restaurant serving ‘Bündner Cuschina’.
