Char is a mid-priced restaurant in the classy fishing village of La Caleta. Under the flame

Located in the Gran Hotel Bahia del Duque, SUA restaurant specialises in Basque cuisine. As the name translates to 'fire', it seems fitting that here ingredients are engulfed in smoked aromas and authentic flavours to create classics such as terrine of roast suckling pig, beef tenderloin sautéed with sherry and roasted knuckle of white veal. Also on the menu is tender fish, creamy rice and trimmings such as Canarian fried potatoes. Desserts are diverse and delicious, and there is a comprehensive wine list.
