Not your fault but Gatwick is horrible!! Poor signposting and long delays at border control on return.
Regarding car hire it would be helpful if you insisted that your clients were given a quick instruction as to how various switches and controls worked by your car hire partners. Sometimes it is a puzzle on unfamiliar vehicles.
