BLUE IS THE COLOUR

No trip to Malta is complete without a visit to the picturesque Blue Grotto. This tour begins when you are driven to Wied iz-Zurrieq to catch a boat out to the famous grotto to view the spectacular underwater flora and marvel at the incredible colour of the water. A guide will explain everything about the grotto and, depending on the weather conditions, you can go inside.

Then return to port and travel to the southern part of the island to visit the pretty fishing village of Marsaxlokk, where you will have plenty of free time to stroll around the market and pick up some bargains and souvenirs. INTO THE CAVE OF DARKNESS

There is more to Malta than the spectacular Grand Harbour of Valletta and lovely relaxing holiday resorts, as you will discover on this fascinating tour. It begins with a trip to the southern part of the island and a visit to the three Megalithic temples of Tarxien, which date back to 3,000BC. The temples are Malta’s most important antiquities and are unique to the island.

Following this, you visit Ghar Dalam, ‘The Cave of Darkness’, seeing its fossilised remains of prehistoric animals from the glacial period. The tour ends with a visit to the prehistoric temple Hagar Qim, which was built between 3,500 and 3,000 BC. This temple, constructed solely of globigerina limestone, overlooks the islet of Filfla from its high vantage point.
