When enjoying a sunshine holiday in Costa Rica it can be tempting to just stay put on a beach or beside a pool at your luxury hotel and do very little. But this trip to the Hanging Bridges at Monteverde is well worth making the effort to do. On arrival you will see the combination of eight suspension bridges and natural trails that will take you through the mountain.

Here you will be able to observe the amazing flora and fauna. Among the birds that can be seen in the forests are different species of the Resplendent Quetzal, blue crowned mot-mot, brown jay, and swallow kite tail. There are also beautiful butterflies such as the Blue Morpho and some mammals such as the sloth, agoutis and howler monkeys.

If you've always been fascinated by reptiles and their mysterious ways, you cannot leave Monteverde without visiting Snake World.
