Safari for culture vultures
You are picked up from your hotel in Darwin to begin this full day Litchfield and Culture Safari. First travel towards Litchfield National Park stopping to visit an indigenous host to gain first hand knowledge of the rich culture and amazing landscape on a bush tucker walk and talk, when you see didgeridoo and clapstick performances and basket and dilly bag making demonstrations.
Then drive into Litchfield National Park to view the Magnetic and Cathedral Termite mounds, an amazing architectural feat containing arches, tunnels and chimneys. They are plentiful in this region and can stand as high as 18 feet. In the park you discover waterfalls, spring-fed streams and the rugged sandstone escarpments. Lunch is included and later you can swim, hike and explore rock holes and waterfalls.
