This short but memorable tour is well worth taking while visiting Victoria Falls. The word Chinotimba describes the roar of the water from the mighty Falls in the local Nambya language. The Nambya and the Tonga people are the original natives of the Victoria Falls area and the majority of people here live in the Chinotimba township, which has a population of approximately 60,000 people.


During this tour, you will have an opportunity to observe township life from the oldest houses to the taverns, the local market and churches. During a visit to the Chinotimba Primary School you are introduced to the school headmaster who will take you on a tour to meet the children who will greet you with a sing song. This tour is two hours long and prices are based two people travelling. (School visits are subject to the schools being open)
