General

The first hotel in Brussels, Belgium, to be given five-star status, Stanhope Brussels is a sumptuous yet understated place to stay in the centre of the city, close to Sablon Antique Square, known for its 17th-century buildings, chocolatiers and antiques stores. From the mahogany furniture in the library bar to the ivy-clad walls and crisp white tablecloths of the garden terrace, everything is elegant and refined.

Room Description

Bed canopies, thick rugs, intricate plasterwork and silk curtains combine to give the rooms and suites at Stanhope Brussels a lavish look that’s also tasteful and modern. All have the mod cons you’d expect, such as large-screen TVs and WiFi access, while the suites have separate living areas with marble fireplaces and spacious en suites. There are also seven serviced apartments that sleep up to six people.

Activities

Its prime location means that Stanhope Brussels is close to all of the city’s main attractions, from the designer stores on Avenue Louise to the antiques and bric-a-brac shops of Sablon Square. The Royal Palace and Grand Place central square are also within walking distance. After a day spent seeing the sights, you can head back to the hotel for a workout in the fitness centre, or a calming massage, available on request.

Dining

Stanhope Brussels’ Brighton restaurant has a beautiful dining room, or you can choose to eat in the walled garden. The French-Mediterranean menu is based on the concept of wellbeing and health, and features dishes such as risotto with saffron and scallops, and locally sourced meats such as rabbit and venison.
