Qatar Airways has announced that it will be opening its flagship high-street ticket office at Britain’s iconic Harrods store in Knightsbridge, London. Qatar’s national airline will open its first store this evening in London, offering tailor-made bookings for its customers.
The new ticket office, located on the lower ground floor of Harrods, will allow customers to have a face-to-face experience when booking flights to one of the 128 destinations the airline offers across six continents. The new concession will sit among one of the largest and most prestigious collections of luxury brands in the world at Harrods, creating an air of luxury around the brand.
“London is one of our most important gateways,” said Akbar Al Baker, chief executive officer of Qatar Airways. “We are opening our ticket office in central London at Harrods as it is a place that not only reflects the high level of service we offer, but is where our most discerning customers can be found. Harrods customers can now experience our unrivalled 5 star service in-store and onboard.”
The move comes as the airline hopes to further connect the brand with the idea of luxury, with it already serving food created by Michelin-starred chefs and offering one of the world’s best business classes. Even the airlines economy class aims to be a mark above the rest, offering one of the most advanced in-flight entertainment systems in the skies.
In just 16 years of operation Qatar Airways has grown to become one of the most recognised airlines in the skies. The airline currently operates a fleet of 126 aircraft and flies to 128 key leisure and business destinations.
