Pussycat Doll and pop sensation Nicole Scherzinger has backed British Airways as the airline attempts to promote its first class route to Russia. The move follows the introduction of no-frills airline easyJet’s new route to Moscow.
In a defensive move to fend off the competition, British Airways has started promoting its service, highlighting its inclusive fares, complimentary food and drinks, free seat selection and generous baggage allowance in a bid to differentiate the two airlines. Furthermore, the airline has got TV personality Nicole Scherzinger to promote the advantages of the airline’s first class service.
"I spend a lot of time doing the LA commute, so my preference is to fly British Airways First Class,” said Scherzinger. “I'll try and eat a light dinner, preferably seafood as I find it's easier to digest when I'm flying... It's a bit of an indulgence to be brought dinner in bed, so I take full advantage of it - then I'll try and get some sleep or listen to music."
“The first time I visited Russia was with the Pussycat Dolls. My first impression was that it was a beautiful place with incredible architecture and lovely people,” added the singer.
The airline’s appointment of Scherzinger is just one of British Airways' many celebrity endorsed campaigns set to take place this year. Earlier in the year BA announced Myleene Klass would be promoting its summer schedule, and model and daughter of a Rolling Stone, Georgia May Jagger took to the aisles of a BA flight earlier this week to take part in a catwalk for the launch of the airline’s first Boeing 777-300ER flight.
