Fiji
It’s Valentine’s Day next Tuesday. And one lucky couple will be receiving more than a heart shaped card. They’ll be getting tickets for a once in a lifetime romantic break to the Pacific island of Fiji. This ultimate romantic escape is the prize in a Romance me in Fiji competition being run by DialAFlight and Virgin Atlantic with the winners enjoying 12 nights island hopping around the Fijian Islands courtesy of Air Pacific and staying in four and five star hotels. A two night stopover in Hong Kong is also included. According to DialAFlight, Fiji is now the most popular stopover choice in the Pacific for round the world travellers and people visiting New Zealand. In an interview on DialAFlight television Jane West from Fiji tourism explains why it has become the first choice for so many travellers. ‘It’s very much about the people. They are so friendly and treat you like a guest in their own home, ‘she says. ‘It’s also more affordable than most other islands in the Pacific. For example you can stay with a tribe for as little as £1 per day. And then there are a wide range of hotels of different standards with many luxury properties. ‘In addition you don’t need a visa and there is a wide choice of airlines flying in to Nadi.’ To see the full interview go to http://media.dialaflight.com/tv/ where Jane describes some of the things that make Fiji famous including its mystical legends, amazing firewalkers and the drinking of kava, a narcotic drink which accompanies any important ceremony. Better still enter the competition at http://www.dialaflight.com/competition/fiji/ and keep your fingers crossed. But don’t forget that Valentine’s card. Just in case!
