I’m No Celebrity… But Get Me Over There!

If you’re one of the millions of viewers tuning into this year’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! TV show, you’ll no doubt be watching in amazement as the celebrities trek their way through the depths of the Australian jungle, sleep under the night sky’s blanket of stars and even feast on the rather unusual local delicacies.

Celebrity Secret

But don’t feel too sorry for them as they struggle through the day on minimal calories and limited washing facilities, because once it’s all over they’re headed straight for the opulent six-star Palazzo Versace hotel on Australia’s infamous Gold Coast. Situated along Main Beach, this celebrity hide out boasts one of the world’s best coastlines and your very own adventure playground ready to be explored; from fishing and diving to the valleys of the World Heritage National Parks around the hinterland.

If, like the show’s celebrities though, you’d much rather spend lazy afternoons rocking back and forth on a hammock, holidays to Australia and the Gold Coast deliver golden beaches in abundance which offer a calming retreat from the somewhat urban hustle and bustle.

Jungle Fever

However, there are jungle alternatives outside of Australia for something a little different. For thrill seekers, why not get a taste of your own jungle life and zip-line your way through the lush rainforest of St. Lucia? Take in the breathtaking canopy of the Caribbean or for those who would rather use two feet than none, take a hike up the Pitons, St. Lucia’s twin coastal peaks displaying spectacular views of the western coast and rainforest.

Urban Jungle

Jungles don’t necessarily always conform to the typical dense vegetation and exotic wildlife environment though. For a real change of scenery, New York, commonly referred to as the ‘concrete jungle’ of the USA, will open your eyes to a whole new world of discovery. With an eclectic menu of worldwide delicacies available on every street corner and unrivaled shopping districts, New York is a far cry from the Bushtucker Trial and the camp mates’ safari outfits!
