Fly to Italy for Lamborghini’s 50th anniversary

The luxury sports car maker Lamborghini is planning to celebrate its 50th anniversary in style, by touring Italy throughout May.

The Italian car company will host a range of events displaying “legendary” Lamborghinis around the country. From the 7th to 11th May hundreds of vintage and modern Lamborghinis will take to the streets of Italy to take part in a 750-mile route across the country. Starting in Milan the parade of supercars will travel through Forte dei Marmi on the Tyrrhenian coast on the 8th before heading to Rome on the 9th. The tour will then continue down to Bologna on the 10th before reaching its final destination at Lamborghini’s headquarters in Sant'Agata Bolognese on the 11th. This unique event will see 300 Lamborghinis from over 29 countries journey to Italy to take part. Car fanatics will be invited to enjoy a fly to italy to marvel at the fleet of Lamborghinis at each of the stop off points en route to the Lamborghini headquarters. The tour will also pay homage to the Italian landscape that has heavily influenced the cars’ brand over the past 50 years. Celebrations for Lamborghini's 50th anniversary will also raise funds for the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy, which was damaged during an earthquake back in May last year. Lamborghini will also display two of its most iconic cars, the 350 GT and the Miura P 400 SV at the 2013 Techno Classica Show at Essen, Germany. The cars will be taken from their home at the Lamborghini Museum at company headquarters in Sant' Agata Bolognese, Italy to mark the special anniversary. Image sources: 1 2 3
