Fly to Dubai for underwater views!

Dubai is set to add another architectural wonder to its growing portfolio of impressive hotels. The Water Discus Hotel will become the world's largest underwater hotel and is said to arrive within the next 5 years.

The hotel, designed by Deep Ocean Technology, will have 21 suites housed in two main discs, one above water and one under. The hotel will also feature a built-in dive centre and bar. Guests staying in the underwater section of the hotel will be treated to an unbeatable underwater view aimed to make the guests feel like they are sleeping in the ocean.

One of the most astonishing features of this underwater hotel is that it will have the ability to be moved to a different location in the case of any environmental of economical concerns. Its modular design means the Water Discus Hotel will be able to be relocated if any concerns about the location arrive once it is constructed.

President of developer BIG, Bogdan Gutkowski said that the 'Water Discus Hotel project opens many new fields of development for the hotel and tourism sector, housing and city sector in the coastal off-shore areas, as well as new opportunities for ecology support by creation of new underwater ecosystems and activities on underwater world protection.”

'Additionally we would like to create here in the UAE the International Environmental Program and Center of the Underwater World Protection - with Water Discus Hotel as a laboratory tool for oceans and seas environment protection and research,' he added.
