Queen Mary II
The famous Queen Mary II made it's final transatlantic crossing yesterday, drawing the curtains closed on a well-celebrated flagship of the Cunard line. Christened by the Queen in 2004, the ship was celebrated with a firework show in Liverpool, before it departed on the way to New York.
New Yorkers were arguably treated to the greatest spectacle, with an entrancing light show being performed just off shore. Illuminating the night sky, the QM II stood proudly to mark it's finale on the 175th anniversary of it's maiden voyage. The show made for a spectacular sight, with colourful streams stretching out into the night somehow making the New York skyline even more stunning than usual.
